These are where we first made a name for ourselves. Since 2011 we’ve produced over 100,000 stretched canvases, and it shows in the quality of our workmanship. Straight edges, smooth corners and a drum-tight surface – it’s no wonder we’re the only canvas printers to win a gold medal at NZ’s Pride in Print Awards.
STRETCHED CANVAS - INSTANT QUOTE
PRINTING – We use nothing but genuine Epson inks for reliable colour-fastness and longevity, and our custom-profiled, heavy-duty 380gsm polycotton canvas gives sharp details and a beautiful, semigloss finish. Most printers use just four inks, CMYK, to produce their range of colours. We print with 10-colour printers for a MUCH wider colour gamut, resulting in eye-popping colours, smooth, gentle gradients, and perfectly neutral grayscale images. Perfection.
QUALITY WORKMANSHIP – There’s nothing like the finish of a hand-stretched canvas. None of this factory-made stuff – we do it right, with stretching pliers and staple guns, ensuring a drum-tight surface and tidy, crisp corners and edges. Our stretcher frames are kiln-dried, NZ radiata pine, produced in a family-owned workshop just around the corner. All canvases have strings attached, ready-to-hang, and as if to cover up all of our hard work, we run framing tape along the backs to tidy up the staple lines. Stretching as it should be.
TURNAROUND TIME – Standard sizes are produced and dispatched within 7 working days. Custom sizes take 10-12 working days as the stretcher frames are manufactured to order.
SHIPPING – All stretched canvas prints are wrapped in bubble wrap then corrugated cardboard. We always ship in unbranded packaging, so if you’re gifting or on-selling then the source will remain a mystery.

If your files don’t match these criteria perfectly, often we will find a way to make them work anyway… we’re pretty clever like that. If you forget to add crop marks and bleed, we’ll trim to the edge. If we need to scale up or down, no problem. We will email you a DIGITAL PROOF for every order before production, and if we notice something that seems out of place we’ll get in touch before we print.
- FILE TYPE – PDF (preferred). We also accept high res TIFFs and JPEGs.
- SCALE – Set files to 100% of final print size plus an additional 3mm of bleed on each edge, with crop marks indicating the trim size.
- SAFE AREAS – Avoid thin borders, or crucial text and design elements being placed right on the edge of the page. Bring these elements in from the edge creating a “safe area” of at least 5mm inside the edge of the page.
- RESOLUTION – Image files and raster graphics should be set to 300dpi (ppi) at 100% size.
- FONTS – All fonts should be embedded or converted to outlines (paths).
- COLOUR – Honestly, we could go either way… if you’ve designed in CMYK then great, we can absolutely print those colours. If your file is set up in RGB just leave it that way and our software and printers will get as close as possible to the intended colour.
- LAYERS – All layers, especially transparency layers, should be flattened.
- EDITING – Do not preserve editing capabilities – this can make your file sizes massive and hard for us to work with. Instead, save your working files separately.
